Nikon entry level DSLR will 進一步挑戰 Pro-consumer DC 市場

When D70 revised to D70s, Nikon will issue a new entry model D50, 傳聞話kit5.5k，body平過5k。D50 6MP, ISO200-1600, kit 會跟枝 18-55/F3.5-5.6G DX, same level with the Canon kit-lens.

現在賣 $5K 以上的 proconsumer 機其至要 $7-8k 嘅 8MP 仿迷你 SLR 如 Monita A1, Olympus 8080 等將有很大壓力！

「色影無忌」有人看完 manual 後總結D50 和D70的差別如下：

1) Auto AF-S/AF-C selection (AF-A)。是個新東西

2) 3D測光
D70 3D color matrix metering (type G and D lenses); color matrix metering (other CPU lenses); metering performed by 1,005-pixel RGB sensor

D50 3D color matrix metering II (type G and D lenses); color matrix metering II (other CPU lenses); metering performed by 420-segment RGB sensor

3) 點測
D70 Meters 2.3-mm circle (about 1% of frame) centered on active focus area
D50 Meters 3.5-mm circle (about 2.5% of frame) centered on active focus area

4) 測光范圍
D70 0 – 20 EV (3D color matrix or center-weighted metering). 3 – 20 EV (spot metering)
D50 0 – 20 EV (3D color matrix or center-weighted metering). 2 – 20 EV (spot metering)

5) 情景自動模式稍有不同。D50增加了“兒童攝影”，去掉了夜景風景

6) D50快門速度30-1/4000s , D70 快門速度可快Ｄ，到 1/8000s

7 ) 存儲介質
D70: CF卡
D50: SD (Secure Digital)卡

8 ) 景深預測鈕去掉了

9) 机背LCD
D70 1.8', 130,000-dot,
D50 2.0', 130,000-dot,

That is flexible and up to you. The point is at that price even with kits lens, it can enable you to take pictures that you can't be done with Proconsumer DC.

Imagine the two major advantages: immediate shuttle without obvious delay, low noise level at very high ISO, I am not sure about Nikon, but Canon DSLR at ISO1600 is cleaner then Canon S45 at ISO400

Actually, when compare to DC and focus on photo quality only, entry level DSLR kit his offer more value for money, not merely 一分錢，一分貨, however you have to compromise on (1) size (2) range covered (the kit lens only covered upto 90mm at 135 system).

using SD card is very good, do you know how about the battery?

Better wait, no body is sure right now, figure of prototype is not really relevant as the firmware play a significant role in saving Power for longer usage per charge.

太好了~

D50絕對適合喜愛攝影既人，Nikon DSLR有排玩。
