Setting up Sharp for Vodafone AU MMS

Creating the APN

1. Press the Menu Button

2. Scroll to and select Connectivity

3. Scroll to and select Internet Settings

4. Scroll to and select Access Point

5. Scroll to and select Create New

6. Scroll to Access Point Name and press Options. Press select and type in, VFAU PXT, press options and select OK

7. Scroll to APN and press Options. Press Select and type in, live.vodafone.com, press options and select OK

8. Scroll to Authentication Type and press Options. Press Select and select, None

9. Leave Username, Password and DNS <empty>

10. Leave Linger Time at 180

11. Press Options and select Set



Creating the Proxy

1. Press the Menu Button

2. Scroll to and select Connectivity

3. Scroll to and select Internet Settings

4. Scroll to and select Proxy

5. Scroll to and select Create New

6. Scroll to Proxy Name and press Options. Press Select and type in, VFAU PXT, press Options and select OK

7. Scroll to Proxy Address and press Options. Press Select and type in, 010.202.002.060, press Options and select OK


8. Scroll to Access Point and press Options. Press Select and select, VFAU PXT

9. Scroll to Home and press Options. Press Select and type in, http://live.vodafone.com, press Options and select OK

10. Scroll to Port Number and press Options. Press Select and type in, 8080, press Options and select OK

11. Scroll to Authentication Type and press Options. Press Select and select, HTTP-BASIC

12. Leave the Username and Password <empty>

13. Press Options and select Set. This will activate the profile



Activating the Profile



1. Press the Menu Button

2. Scroll to and select Connectivity

3. Scroll to and select Internet Settings

4. Scroll to and select Application

5. Scroll to and select MMS Settings

6. Scroll to and select Create New

6. Scroll to Profile Name and press Options. Press Select and type in,
VFAU PXT, press Options and select OK

7. Scroll to Proxy and press Options. Press Select and select,
VFAU PXT from the list.

8. Scroll to Relay Server URL and press Options. Press Select and type in, http://pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend, press Options and select OK.

9. Press Options and select Set. This will activate the profile

10. Under WAP Settings scroll to VFAU PXT and press Options. Scroll to Activate and press Select to activate.

10. Scroll to Port Number and press Options. Press Select and type in, 8080, press Options and select OK

11. Scroll to Authentication Type and press Options. Press Select and select, HTTP-BASIC

12. Leave the Username and Password <empty>

13. Press Options and select Set. This will activate the profile



Activating the Profile



1. Press the Menu Button

2. Scroll to and select Connectivity

3. Scroll to and select Internet Settings

4. Scroll to and select Application

5. Scroll to and select WAP Settings

6. Scroll to and select Create New

7. Scroll to Profile Name and press Options. Press Select and type in,
VFAU GPRS, press Options and select OK

8. Scroll to Proxy and press Options. Press Select and select,
VFAU GPRS from the list.

9. Press Options and select Set. This will save the profile

10. Under WAP Settings scroll to VFAU GPRS and press Options. Scroll to Activate and press Select to activate.
