Hi, I'm new here. While I was driving, suddenly, one stupid idea pop up in terms of unlocking. I wonder whether we can unlock phone by the below method:-
1. Use a vodafone USIM card to power up phone.
2. After power up completed, remove the USIM and replace with another provider's SIM card.

Do you think this will work?
I try to do it but, failed, due to unable to power up phone without battery installed.

This method just pop up to me when I remember long long time ago when we need to play very 1st version of playstation set with pirated game CD. We power up the playstation with any original copy of game CD, then, after power up, remove the original copy CD & replace with the pirated CD.

Sound stupid rite?????

Honestly, it is not a stupid question at all. At least I have the same thnking long time ago.

In fact, if my memory is still working, it worked in the old days for some phone models. But this is very old story.

Now, the checking and protection mechanism is much more advanced, and it won't work anymore!
